We had the chimney of the Pine Tree Home rebuilt recently. It had several problems going on: spalling bricks, crumbling masonry at the crown, and no rain caps on the chimney flues (There are 2 of them, this house has 2 fireplaces). I mentioned in my last post that our home is a fixer, and the chimney was one of the reasons why. It’s repair has made a dramatic difference in the look and structural integrity of our home. We can use our fireplaces now, and it’s a good thing because the summer has been pretty cold this year! I’d like to share some before and after pics of the chimney and the restoration process. The rebuild was done by Absolute Chimney of Tacoma WA. They are hard working and reasonably priced. This rebuild took 5 days.
