Here’s a blast from the past: A 1960s wall oven. This vintage beauty made by General Electric, was still in our home when we bought it, but it was so dirty inside that we decided to buy a new one. That and the fact that the clock was broken. I took a couple of pics of it for the sake of posterity and nostalgia:
We bought a new G.E. oven, purely by coincidence. It seems that dimensions for wall ovens have changed over the years. The old oven was 26″ by 26″. New ovens tend to be taller and thinner, so we had to modify the cabinet a bit:
I sanded the cabinet in the greasy areas before the installers arrived, to get rid of the gunk and to get some of the painting prep done ahead of time.
And here’s the new oven! :
Much better!!!
Take care and thanks for reading 🙂
Your new oven is a real beauty.
